Proteus killed

On Wednesday 24th June in the evening a Combat Patrol roamed around in our occupied Systems. A Scout found a small group of battleships which included a Proteus which is extremely rare to find in this systems. The Ships of the GIS Combat Patrol moved to tactical combat positions and waited for the chance to attack the battleship group. After a few Minutes a Ship from the GIS Patrol was attacked by the battleship group and the Proteus. The GIS Pilot was able to place and keep a point on the Proteus while he was under heavy fire from the enemy battleships and the Proteus itself. After endless Seconds of waiting the rest of the GIS Fleet warped in and started firing on the Proteus and the enemy battleships realized immediatley that they couldn't win this fight and started to warp out. The Proteus couldn't escape because it was heavily warp scrambeld and so it was destroyed by the concentrated firepower from the GIS Fleet.

The total financial Loss for the Proteus is about 3.75 billion ISK
